Hot Tub - £150/stay

We installed a wood-fired hot tub in 2024 and it's available to hire for £150/stay. This includes some kindling and wood from our wood store. There are flip flops and dressing gowns for you to use as well. Instructions on how to use it are laminated and left in the utility room.

Foraging Walks - £20pp - Can only be booked in advance

Our resident foraging expert Liam (@walkingpaceonly on Instagram) will lead you on a casual walk around the village to learn more about the edible, medicinal, and poisonous plants here in Chettle. He even brings along edible tasters of things he has made from the local plants (elderberry syrup, nettle 'pimms', dandelion fritters, hogweed flapjacks etc). Available March - September.

Picnic Hamper - Price TBC

Off for a day out or hosting a picnic on the lawn? Firstly the village shop does everything you need for an epic picnic - sandwiches, hot pies, pasties and sausage rolls, crisps, dips, ready made couscous and tabouleh, olives, gf crackers and crispbreads, and lots of other things. But if you would like us to arrange for a delivery of a picnic half way round a local walk, we can do this. It's usually around £20 pp.

Fire Pit - Free

We have 2 firepits for use in the garden, a donation of between £20-£40 towards the extra wood would be appreciated, as a fire pit can burn through a lot of wood (each log is around 75p to buy and stack)! The shop sells marshmallows for toasting too (inc vegan ones). Please don't use our blankets whilst sat round the fire pit as they aren't fire safe and will smell of smoke for the next guests.

Playpark & Shop Barn - Free

There is an excellent playpark in Chettle, a favourite amongst local kids. It has 2 trampolines, a boat (that was once in an art exhibition in Bristol) that is now a sandpit, a giant slide, some climbing frames and swings and lots of other random things. It also has several picnic benches and a yew tree to sit under for shade.

And just a bit further up the road is a wooden barn, by the village shop, this has a pool table, ping pong, table football and a piano.
